Ashtavakra Gita is a thoroughgoing text of Vedanta Philosophy presented in the form of a dialogue between Sage Ashtavakra and King Janaka. It is an intuitional treatise expounding the Upanishadic revelation—“Aham Brahma Asmi—-I am Brahman or the Absolute Self; this world is nothing but Brahman.”
This entire universe is nothing but an appearance-like mirage. He who attains this realization is the most blessed person in this world. He experiences the height of perfection and Bliss. It is ignorance that causes bondage to the world-process and it is Knowledge that remedies ignorance and reveals the majesty of the Self. This is the gist of the Ashtavakra Gita.
