Mandukya Upanishad Retreat 2005 (5 hours)
This Upanishad belongs to Atharva Veda. It presents profound insight into the nature of Brahman or the Absolute Self with the help of the mystic symbol of Om or Pranava. Om is composed of four principles : A, U, M and a mystic Point. An aspirant discovers his essential identity with Brahman in successive stages — Physical, Astral, Causal, and Transcendental —Turiya. The Great utterance, “Ayamatma Brahman —This very Self is Brahman,” occurs in this Upanishad. This scripture leads you to Enlightenment! (approximately 5 hours)
Brahma Vindu Upanishad is a minor Upanishad containing 22 Mantras. It is focused on Brahma Vidya—Knowledge of Brahman. It belongs to Atharva Veda. It is the scripture that gives the essence of Vedanta philosophy for attaining Self-realization.
Devi Mahatmya or Durga Shaptashati is a portion from the Markandeya Purana written by Sage Vyasa. This unique scripture views God as Mother and presents highly mystical stories depicting the journey of the soul from darkness to Light in three stages: Devi, in the form of Durga, destroys gross impurities urging the aspirant to develop purity of heart. As Laksmi, She brings about the blossoming of divine qualities and frees the mind of distractions. And as Saraswati she destroys ignorance and egoism, leading the soul to the heights of spiritual enlightenment.
